Affiliate Disclosure

Link disclosure. Our articles identify whether shopping links are paid affiliate links or ordinary source links. Non-affiliate source links do not generate commissions for us.

What this means in practice

  • Where an article uses paid affiliate links, it identifies them conspicuously near the recommendations. Paid links are marked rel="sponsored" in the page source.
  • Check the merchant’s current price and purchase terms before buying.
  • We may earn a commission if you buy something after clicking one of those links.

What it does not mean

  • We are not paid for placement, ranking or a favourable description.
  • No brand reviews, approves or edits our pages before publication.
  • We do not accept free product in exchange for coverage.
  • A brand that pays higher commission does not rank above one that pays less. Our tables are ordered by the specification criteria stated in the piece.

Amazon Associates

A merchant source link is not a claim of affiliate affiliation. If a page contains qualifying Amazon affiliate links, it must clearly identify them and display the applicable Amazon Associate disclosure. Pages identified as non-affiliate do not earn commissions from their links.

Other programmes

We may also participate in other affiliate programmes. Where we do, the same disclosure applies: a commission may be earned, at no cost to you, and it does not affect what we list or how we describe it.
